June 20th 2006 - OrphanIT begins work on a content management system coded in up to 20 languages that will allow students at telecentres to create powerful, open source, web 2.0, code compliant websites for clients all around the world (translated) for under US$500. See HighRankingCMS.com

March 15th 2003 - OrphanIT wins Global Junior Challenge. (international award.) The following projects were competitors in the Global Junior Challenge in Rome, Italy in 2002. These finalists have been chosen from submissions from around the world for sponsorship by the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business in California, USA

Mar. 7th, 2003 - OrphanIT approved as a nominee in the prestigious Stockhom Challenge
December 12th, 2002 - OrphanIT.com nominated in the Global Junior Challenge from more than 500 entries. A joint panel comprising the Global Youth Incubator, Digital Youth Consortium and corporate donors selected the nominees during an Award Ceremony on 12th Dec, 2002 in Rome. See Photos
October 15th, 2002 - Harvard Business Review: OrphanIT was highlighted in an article entitled 'Serving the World's Poor, Profitably' by C.K. Prahalad, University of Michigan Business School Professor, one of the top ten business professors according to Business Week.
Excerpt from the Harvard Business Review article: "Now, thanks to the rapid expansion of high-speed digital networks, companies are realizing even greater savings by locating such labor-intensive service functions as call centers, marketing services, and back-office transaction processing in developing areas. For example, the nearly 20 companies that use OrphanIT.com's affiliate-marketing services, provided via its telecenters in India and the Philippines, pay one-tenth the going rate for similar services in the United States or Australia.
